A friend told us that things in Honduras take a lot longer than what they tell you. I wasn't annoyed by it at first, but here we are, almost a month after we signed up for internet, still waiting on our internet card. They told us it would be ten days, and I am wondering why they couldn't have just told me the truth. Just tell me it will be a month, I can handle it, I`m a big girl.
You might be asking yourself why it is so important to have internet on our computer when we have one we can use. You might be asking yourself why we so desperately want to use our computer. The answer is simple. Magic Jack. We have a nifty little card that we stick in our computer and plug the other end into the phone, and then, through the internet, people can call us on an American, 817 or 214 number and we can pick up and talk to our family and friends. We have not spoken to anyone live, since moving here, and I am ready. The second reason is Skype. My nephew Max doesn't not speak in full sentences, or even in real words, though his mom would disagree, so I would like to Skype with him. Just hang out, play some games, whatever, and skype with everyone else. IT`S FREE! And the third reason, and most important is pictures. We have some pictures of our school and of our home and things like that, and I would like to post them and let everyone see what we see everyday. Alas, we will wait, yet another day for Tigo to get it together.
The good news is that without the internet, I have used our computer to do all sorts of other things. Type some papers, make a calender, ect. Most importantly, I have learned how to play Solitaire. I never knew that you had to send all the cards home to the top, so I would get a line and then wonder why I never won. Jd finally told me how to play, and it is quite amazing. Seriously, God blessed me by bringing me Solitaire.
Love you. Miss you. May the next time we speak be on a non-spanish keyboard. Ă‘.
